As a family that loves the outdoors, winter is one of our favorite seasons. However, with David instructing snowboarding on the mountain once a week in the winters, it’s easy for our schedules to feel stretched. To keep our family close and ensure we make time for each other, we’ve learned the importance of being intentional about how we spend our time.
One of the ways we stay connected is by dedicating Monday nights to family time. Whether we’re playing games, cooking together, or just enjoying a cozy evening at home, this tradition gives us a chance to recharge as a family. It’s a simple but powerful way to strengthen our bond amidst the busyness of life.
David and I also make it a priority to carve out time for each other. Thursday nights are our date nights, and we’ve found a unique way to combine our love for fitness with quality time—run club! It’s a chance to stay active, connect, and have fun together while modeling a healthy lifestyle for our kids.
Balancing family time with outdoor adventures takes effort, but by prioritizing intentional moments and shared activities, we’re able to make it work—and create memories that will last a lifetime.
